From solving equations to moving across the world, from studying theory to mentoring future innovators, my journey has been one of continuous discovery.

Mathematics has always fascinated me—its predictability, logic, and ability to reveal answers. By secondary school, I knew I wanted to be a mathematician, though at the time, I thought it was all about solving intricate equations. High school deepened my passion as I studied the works of Euler, Galois, and Leibniz, wondering how they could be so certain of their discoveries.

During my bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Engineering, I realized that math wasn’t just about computation—it was about using logic to understand reality and build models that explain the world. This insight led me to pursue both a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Probability and Statistics. While studying in Guanajuato, I also discovered that life and opportunity extended beyond well-known places.

A turning point came during my Ph.D. when I met a Cambodian friend who introduced me to Southeast Asia—its culture, food, and people. His influence was profound, and when I completed my Ph.D., I decided to take a leap and move to Thailand. After several early-morning interviews, I secured a postdoctoral position at NECTEC. I sold everything I owned, packed my bags, and embraced a new life.

As my postdoctoral role ended, I found myself drawn to the intersection of mathematics, artificial intelligence, and computing. Searching for my next step, I discovered CMKL University, where I now teach and share my passion for math, machine learning, and AI. Today, I am inspired not only by the great mathematicians of history but also by the creativity of my students, who continuously push boundaries with their innovative projects.
